Romantic Getaway in Avila Beach - De-Stress

Winter is coming! But that doesn't mean it's time to pack away the seaside getaway fun. Just about any season is a great time for a romantic escape in Avila Beach (http://www.visitavilabeach.com/). Imagine feeling a refreshing ocean breeze kissing your face as Pacific Ocean waves wash over your feet in the cool sand. Don't worry the weather is fine (around 50 degrees in winter - 80 degrees in summer).

This iconic central California coastal bay community is one of those special places that seems to inspire a sense of living a fun life, and you might even say, 'I think I'll stay for a while.' Avila Beach is found just off of Highway 1, and it's only a One Tank Getaway from Los Angeles.

Stay

When it comes to rejuvenating your romantic soul and that of your special someone, the hidden away Avila Village Inn seems to fit the description of a perfect getaway oasis (https://www.avilavillageinn.com/). It's a beautifully landscaped property with an adjacent hiking/ bicycle trail (bikes are available on property for a minimal cost). While walking about and talking with a few of the guests, there's something you hear often - “it's peaceful here.”

General Manager Chris King says he and the inn's staff start every day wanting to “create an atmosphere where folks can slow down a bit and lovingly reconnect with each other. Fresh baked cookies are included.” Want to really connect - ask for a hot tub balcony room, it's special! The house wine, from a sister property - 'Ancient Peaks Winery' in nearby Santa Margarita – is a nice complement to a relaxing evening (http://www.ancientpeaks.com/).

Everyone appreciates a restful sleep in a cozy and inviting room. Winding down the day can be rather pleasant in a bathroom with invigorating shower with ample space for two. The super plush bed and soft linen help to take you to dreamland in no time – Zzzz Zzzz! Each morning a continental breakfast is available for you to enjoy on the terrace or in your suite.

Eat & Play

Avila's beach town is a spot where you want to take your time to venture around and check out its quaint shops and cool restaurants. At certain times during the year (April to September), the beachfront turns into a fun marketplace with local vendors and fun musical acts each Friday from early Spring Through Fall. Because of the wealth of the ocean life, in Avila, you'll find some of the freshest and most delicious seafood dishes served anywhere (http://www.avilabeachpier.com/events/fish-farmers-market.html).

Avila's Oyster Festival is for crustacean lovers like a slice of heaven (https://www.avilabeachresort.com/events/upcoming-concerts-events). There's oysters-coconut, fried oysters raw oysters spicy tequila oysters garlic oysters grilled oysters steamed oyster and list of oyster dishes goes on and on. Yum! This community and the surrounding areas are also known for some pretty good dry rub style tri-tip bar-b-que. Also, the local wine fare will surely satisfy even the most discriminating wine tasting palates.

Take a stroll along the 900-foot long pier and experience its old fashion charm. Walk along the beachfront and chances are good that someone will strike up a friendly conversation with you. Also, the ambiance of hearing the seductive rushing sea and good company helps make for a wonderful romantic getaway in Avila Beach. Great conversations often change the world!

Whether you want to enjoy the area's famous mineral springs, wineries and seafood or RV/Camping, Avila seems to have just the right pace for families or couples to relax and unwind.
